Safety Works Ltd have introduced FastPlan Online, an Internet based solution for producing construction health and safety documentation.

Formed in March 1995 to provide a Planning Supervision service in response to the introduction of the Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations 1994, Safety Works philosophy has always been to find practical solutions to health and safety issues whilst avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.

Building on their original site, Safety Works have now developed the full "modularised" version which enables all types of contractor to obtain individual health and safety documents, each one tailored to a particular project depending on the tools, plant and machinery that the contractor will be using, as well as the work activities and site set-up to be encountered.

Users simply log on, answer the site-specific questions and then download the required documentation. The documentation is professionally presented, including a specified logo on header pages and contract details on working pages. Guidance on how to use the documents is included. Charges are "Pay As You Go" per project and the files can be downloaded time and time again at no additional cost. If used correctly, the documents produced provide the basis of a comprehensive site safety management system, helping to ensure that any site is operated efficiently and safely, whilst complying with the law.
