Computerized transit module enhances Precision's TRA/X

Precision Software has recently announced the release of its New Computerized Transit System (NCTS) module as part of the TRA/X International Trade Logistics software suite. The NCTS, which officially came into effect on June 30th, is an electronic procedure for declaring community transit movements and is currently being rolled out by companies across Europe. Precision Software's NCTS module ensures that all exporters comply with and abide by all customs enforced export controls, resulting in cost savings and fewer shipment delays.

Essentially NCTS will remove the need to use the old paper-based declarations system. The new system's objectives are to increase the efficiency of transit procedures, improve the prevention and detection of fraud and overall to provide better security throughout the supply chain. Precision Software now provides its existing and new customers with NCTS capabilities, to continue to optimize their logistics processes in a highly integrated and streamlined manner.

The benefits of using TRA/X for NCTS include: goods for shipping can be pre-cleared 24/7, speeding up the process through the ports; more certainty on the export status and ETA of goods, leading to increased customer satisfaction; a reduction in the amount of paperwork generated and paper processing barriers and finally, TRA/X allows a substantial reduction of data submissions to various government/customs bodies with increased automated links.
