Sanderson accounting & stock control software delivers for Farm to Freeze
Established in 1981, Farm to Freeze is a family run Cash & Carry and Delivered Wholesaler of catering products. Based in the rural community of Wooler, the company provides meat to the general public as well as hotels and public houses across Northumberland. The Cash & Carry part of the business started in a small unit behind the butcher's shop in 2003, delivering dry goods to hotels and restaurants. Due to its expansion the company is moving to larger premises in Berwick upon Tweed this year and they were keen to invest in an integrated IT system for the business to help control this rapid expansion.
Swords from Sanderson is able to meet Farm to Freeze's requirements by providing them with a full accounts package and real-time stock management. Although Farm to Freeze already had accounts and telesales facilities, they were not integrated into one system. The Sanderson solution is able to fill this gap by providing Farm to Freeze with stock control in real-time, and consequently the information that they require to buy more effectively, enabling a reduction in over and under stocking.
The solution provides instant visibility of customers' buying patterns; this information is concise and quick to access. As a result the company is able to drive sales by up or cross selling with ease. Farm to Freeze will also benefit from having a telesales call scheduler, which manages carefully targeted outbound telesales and marketing campaigns.
Owner of Farm to Freeze, Martyn Redpath explains more: "We are expanding at such a rate; I needed a system that I could rely on to handle my business requirements. With so many new customer demands and expectations it is imperative to me that my energy goes on successfully managing those relationships and providing high quality produce, without worrying about my back office. With the Sanderson solution I am confident that the system is robust enough to keep up with these demands, allowing me to stay on top of things."
Jackie Taylor, Sales Director at Sanderson comments: "Now, with the integration of the full accounts package to the till, staff won't have to enter information onto two systems. This will not only free up a lot of time but it will substantially reduce the potential for error."
