Industry veteran Paul Hammond appointed to lead expansion

Infor have announced the appointment of Paul Hammond as general manager and regional vice president for the Middle East. Based in Dubai, Paul is responsible for developing Infor's Middle East business with a particular focus on revenue growth, recruitment of channel partners and management of key customers such as Nakheel.

Hammond's objectives are to drive sales for some of Infor's key strategic solutions in the region, including Infor Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Infor EAM Asset Sustainability Edition (ASE), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Performance Management (PM).

Hammond brings 19 years of experience in the international IT market to the role.  He joins Infor from webMethods (since acquired by Software AG) where he established the company's Middle East operation.  Prior to this role, he spent seven years in business development positions at Veritas (since acquired by Symantec), five years of which were spent in Bahrain, heading up its oil & gas sector.

"Infor has acquired and developed some of the best solutions in the market and is now the world's 10th largest software company with over 800 customers in the region. We look forward to further extending our reach and breadth of product offerings to our customers in the Middle East by recruiting additional channel partners. The Middle East enterprise software market is developing at a rapid rate and the opportunity for Infor is tremendous" comments Hammond.
