IFS, the global enterprise applications company, has announced that leading European manufacturers of private label breakfast cereals and cereal bars, Dailycer, has selected Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution IFS Applications to overhaul its supply chain management system.
Dailycer has an annual turnover of £30 million and its head office in Deeside North Wales houses a 200-strong UK workforce. With an annual production of some 10,000 tonnes, Dailycer manufactures breakfast cereals and cereal bars for private label and business to business customers.
Dailycer will deploy IFS Applications to support future growth and remain competitive and agile in the face of the rising business costs, such as raw materials, fuel and general operating costs, . The ERP solution will service the whole business, including finance, warehousing, manufacturing, HR, payroll and product development.
IFS was recommended to Dailycer by their sister company De-Vau-Ge. After a competitive two-way pitch against JD Edwards, IFS was selected as Dailycer's ERP supplier.
Pete Robertson, Financial Controller, at Dailycer said: "IFS Applications will allow us to drastically improve the level of control and clarity that we have over business information. The real time visibility of our supply chain will enable us to improve our business practices and realise cost reductions.
"We decided to work with IFS because of the high calibre of their people and the functionality of IFS Applications. IFS's understanding of our business needs and collaborative working style meant that we could develop a flexible business solution that could not only support our current set up, but will also allow us to grow in the future."
When in place, the new system will be able to cope with increasing demand, allowing Dailycer to sell more products to consumers in real time, via a well managed, fully visible supply chain. Dailycer also expects the system to precipitate substantial time and cost savings, allowing the company to thrive in an increasingly competitive market place.
Steve Barr, Business Development Consultant - Process Manufacturing at IFS, said: "Our experience in the food and manufacturing sectors has enabled us to cover all of Dailycer's business requirements with one solution.
"We are pleased to be working with them and hope to bring significant cost savings and greater agility to the business, allowing them to thrive despite the increasing cost of raw materials. During this time of economic slowdown, it is more important that ever to maintain optimal levels of business performance and we are keen to support Dailycer in its efforts to do so."
