A project manager you can rely on
The country's biggest retailers are turning to ICON, an online construction information management system, to assist with the project management of their new developments.
The ICON system has a range of utilities to help with the management and collation of data for large building projects. It has been recommended by retailers which include ASDA, Boots, Somerfield, Sainsbury's as well as John Lewis.
It's designed to ensure that all necessary steps are taken and recorded in the project management process including surveys, health and safety, and CAD libraries.
Managing Director Chris Lovelock said: "The system ensures that there's less margin for human error in terms of planning and recording information.
"When spending large amounts of money on a building project, it's easy for budgets to overrun and with so many factors to take into consideration, it's easy for data to be lost or forgotten. The ICON system eliminates this by highlighting areas that need to be attended to and keeping all the relevant data in one place."
The system has high level security access set by user ID which means only authorised personnel can view and input data. It also holds complete CAD libraries for 2D and 3D blocks and 3D CAD store views which is a great help to designers to be able to visualise the final build.
"The ICON system is organic," explains Chris. "We're constantly striving towards perfection and can tailor-make a complete product for clients that need varied packages."
