New website highlights responsible ethos
PHS Maxitech has launched a new website where customers can keep up to date with the latest Data Protection, WEEE compliance and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (ROHS) directives in the recycling of their IT equipment. The image-led design enables easy navigation for quick access to concise information where the company’s corporate responsibility underpins its business practices.
The graphic homepage of PHS Maxitech’s new website is intuitively designed to steer visitors to their relevant area of interest. With an overriding focus on the ethical processes involved in the recycling of IT waste, the homepage makes it very clear that Maxitech has a strong corporate responsibility agenda where community, people and ethics are the key company drivers.
Visitors are able to troubleshoot with a direct link to Maxitech’s frequently asked questions page and even request a collection through the website with a direct link to Maxitech’s collection booking system.
PHS Maxitech recycles by refurbishing the IT equipment and donating a quantity to charitable concerns. The software is wiped through a certified drive wiping process to ensure confidential data is handled in a legally compliant way. Once wiped the equipment is either refurbished or recycled and then donated to charity.
By engaging in IT recycling, organisations can not only contribute to their green agenda by ensuring the reuse of their old equipment, they can also make a positive contribution by donating the refurbished equipment to charities in their local communities.
Paul Huish, General Manager of PHS Maxitech said: “We needed a website that would provide a convenient interface for our customers, both existing and new. Because Maxitech works for a variety of organisations, from large corporate bodies to smaller charitable concerns it was important to ensure that the information on the website delivers according to both sets of requirements.”
