IRIS Exchequer is ‘perfect fit’ for Evolve Energy Group

Friday, 5 June 2009

Evolve Energy, the largest independent energy management company in the UK, says the IRIS Exchequer accounting and financial management system is the ‘perfect fit' for the requirements of its growing organisation

The company has placed an order for a 20 user system that incorporates functionality to handle job costing, stock control and compliance with the Construction Industry Scheme.

Since Evolve Energy was founded in 2006, the company has expanded rapidly through the aggregation of leading companies in the areas of building automation, metering, energy reduction solutions and supply analysis resulting in a number of disparate systems that lack the integration to provide the level of flexible reporting the company now needs. This is one of the key reasons for change.

Nusrat Shah, Financial Director, explained: “Our current finance and CRM system, Netsuite, does not naturally lend itself to Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) accounting which is integral to certain parts of our business so a lot of time is spent by the team manually calculating and processing deductions for sub-contractors using Microsoft Excel.

“When we started looking at our requirements, we knew that we needed a full business system that could integrate withMicrosoft Excel, handle job costing and CIS.”

Nusrat had invaluable first-hand experience of IRIS Exchequer’s powerful integration with Microsoft Excel; having used the system between 2003 and 2006. She said: “I knew that it would be the ‘perfect fit’ especially in terms of providing the ‘real time’ information the Group so urgently needs. The ability to drill-down when looking at transactions and to see linked documents will help the credit control team to answer customer queries more quickly.”

Energy efficiency is at the core of the Evolve Energy business model helping organisations to address the challenges of energy costs, efficiency, environmental footprint and sustainability. Evolve works with a diverse range of businesses and buildings from The Savoy Hotel, the Natural History Museum and London School of Economics, through to modern high street and leisure outlets such as Tesco, the Co-operative stores, Nationwide Building Society and Center Parcs helping them to cut energy bills by up to 40%.

There is a definite synergy between the objectives of Evolve Energy and the IRIS Exchequer financial management system with both delivering energy efficiency to their customers. The implementation of IRIS Exchequer will ensure that costs are controlled efficiently with full visibility, from start to finish.

Nusrat added: “IRIS Exchequer will allow us to manage our growth without adding to the head count in the accounts department and at the same time will create the efficiencies needed for competitive advantage.”
