Integrity's new payroll module streamlines HR
Integrity Software, construction accounting software supplier of Evolution, has recently launched a new Payroll PLUS module, which enables users to integrate the raft of employee related spreadsheets into their system.
Integrity has taken another step to help its customers consolidate their business functions, recognising the need to provide its customers with a tool for managing HR functions. There are many HR reporting requirements for contractors and trying to record all of these, often through the use of spreadsheets, is not only a time consuming job but is also prone to errors.
The Payroll PLUS module integrated with Evolution is capable of managing a variety of employee details, allowing companies to not only manage employee holiday entitlement and absence records, but to see the impact these have on their workflow. For example, the integration of Payroll PLUS with the Evolution Works Order module allows the user to identify when a job is allocated to a member of staff listed as unavailable on that day, so the right decisions can be made – resulting in as little disruption as possible to the day to day running of the business.
Certain jobs require certain skills, and often it can be difficult to determine which employees are qualified for a particular task. However Payroll PLUS allows contractors to record all employee and sub-contractor skills and qualifications in a detailed skills matrix, alerting the user when an employee has a skill or qualification that is due to expire.
Thanks to its accident reporting feature, Payroll PLUS also has the ability to record accident information that has occurred either onsite or in the office. This allows contractors to keep a record of the member of staff in question, log details of their injury, and make a note of the location. By recording the information in this way, employers can clearly keep track of all incidents for Health & Safety Executive reporting purposes.
Evolution comprises a concise accounting package by which contractors and sub-contractors can easily request payments from customers, manage retentions and provide reports via the CIS to the Inland Revenue. By selecting Payroll PLUS as an additional module to this system, the knock-on effect of salary changes, staff absence and even company car allowances can be tracked in real time.
Justin Moule, Business Development Director for Integrity Software, commented: “A lot of time is spent ensuring staff are paid, due holiday is logged and sickness tracked and managed. During a recent think tank session with our customers, it became apparent that many contractors in the construction industry are still using external spreadsheets and paper records to collate staff information, representing unnecessary time and paperwork. By adding the Payroll PLUS module to our offering, we are able to eliminate this process and integrate all information within one software package.”
