Bromford Industries selects Sanderson manufacturing software
Sanderson, the publicly owned UK provider of manufacturing software, has won a contract to supply its Unity solution across Bromford Industries’ three Midlands sites.
The Sanderson solution was the first major strategic purchase from Bromford Industries since its formation following the acquisition of the aerospace machining divisions of Hampson PLC in August.
Bromford Industries specialises in “difficult to manufacture” components made using aerospace alloys and exotic materials. The flexibility of the Sanderson factory automation solution will help reduce stock-holding costs, simplify internal processes and improve communication and visibility between departments.
The benefits of having a single integrated system across its sites in Birmingham, Alcester and Leicester helped Bromford Industries to quickly decide to replace its existing ERP implementations.
David Bell, IT Manager at Bromford Industries comments: “Within our three sites we have over 150 CNC machine tools, and laser and wire erosion facilities. To provide the best service for our customers, we needed to encompass our operations within a comprehensive lean production system.
"We judged that Sanderson manufacturing software was a flexible solution which would improve efficiency across the whole business. From factory floor to head office, Unity will help us run the business the way it needs running. With this and the support and experience Sanderson provides as a software partner, Bromford Industries will be able to vigorously pursue its strategic goals.”
Paul Bywater, Managing Director of Production and Print systems at Sanderson, adds: “We are very pleased that Bromford Industries sees our Unity factory automation system and business partnership as a critical investment for their future success.”
