Management Process Systems Limited (MPS) of Cambridge has announced that their Contract Change Management (CCM) system, which supports the NEC form of contract, has been selected for three projects by Cox Project Management Ltd for client Salford Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The CCM system manages the contract change processes set out in the NEC form of contract. The three projects are the £8.1m New Radio therapy Centre, the £2.3m Maternity & Dermatology project, and the £1.7m Heart Care Unit. All are located at the Salford Royal University Teaching Hospital.

Derek Cox, Managing Director of Cox PM said: “the use of CCM to support the contract administration of three complex NHS projects has been welcomed by all concerned and has made a very positive contribution to the process.”

CCM is a three time construction industry award winning solution, and is the first UK implementation of Software as a Service (SaaS) to support the NEC. MPS hold the IBM Software Platinum Achievement Award as IBM Independent Software Vendor of the Year.

The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) CCM system is delivered through anagreement with IBM for Server Managed Services. This agreement includes data centre, hardware equipment and software products, internet services, security and support services.

Robin Wilkin, Operations Director of MPS said: “Management Process Systems is recognised as the established industry leader in NEC contract management systems. CCM has been used on hundreds of projects in theUK, and, although the NEC contract is used widely across the infrastructure sector, it is now being used more and more in the building industry. We are very pleased that Cox Project Management has elected to use CCM for their building projects in the health sector.”
