Integrity Software launches new document management module

Integrity Software, providers of the construction accounting software package, Evolution, has recently launched its Document Library module to help create a simple to use document storage and information collation function.

The new module allows users to view and store all documents created using Evolution whilst allocating specific items to the relevant job or contract, making it easier to reference back to a certain job in the future.

Split into two levels of functionality, the module, in the first instance, allows for the easy viewing, sharing and storing of documents produced using Evolution making it easy for colleagues to share important documents and invoices through the same system, removing the hassle normally associated with a task of this manner. As such, Document Library is compatible with Contracts, Sales/Purchase ledgers, Purchase Orders, Stock, Works Orders and Purchase Application modules.

The second level of functionality allows the user to scan third party documents, such as contract drawings or health and safety documents, and attach them to the relevant job, contract or transaction in Evolution. The documents themselves can be easily scanned using a basic office scanner and quickly viewed using the new module.

Justin Moule, Business Development Director from Integrity Software, commented: “The new module is ideal for use in businesses of any size as administrative tasks can be kept to a minimum, helping to free up time for alternative work. The new features make it possible to quickly scan documents in to the system and tally them up with the relevant Evolution document. Even in its most basic form as a simple document collation system, the Document Library module is able to store multiple documents in order, ensuring data is not lost or misplaced, something that is often an issue with basic manual spreadsheet systems used by many businesses.”

As a construction accounting specific software package, Evolution reduces the time, complication and hassle associated with getting payments from customers, managing retentions and reporting via the CIS to the Inland Revenue. The integration of the new Document Library module helps to speed up the administrative tasks involved with this process providing a data storage and collation function that is free from errors.
