Off to a fast start with SAP and IBM
Avnet is working together with IBM and SAP to provide an integrated solution to deploy SAP's All-In-One applications quickly and easily in the UK.
With simple management, excellent performance and rock solid reliability, BladeCenter servers are providing SAP All-In-One solutions an environment that can be deployed quickly and easily to mid sized customers. Industry specialists in the form of SAP's VARs can now order fully configured and loaded Blade Centers directly from Avnet which can be deployed within days for customisation.
Three solution sizes will be available, each with one part number which will include, hardware, Linux operating system and the SAP software integrated at source.
CSI Ltd., an Avnet customer and a SAP VAR has been using the SAP All-In-One configurator with great success. Rob Jackson of CSI explained: "The SAP Business All-In-One fast-start program is designed to deliver rapid business results with a fixed price and scope. It has all the functionality that Midmarket businesses require and provides a complete business system, including software, hardware and implementation services that mean companies can be reaping the benefits within 12 weeks. By using customers' information, we can create a configuration whilst on the phone, producing a personalised solution for each potential customer within the manufacturing, services and trade space. This acts as a door opener to customers who may have imagined that an SAP solution was far beyond their needs or means.
