High-tech manufacturer Beijer Electronics selects IFS Applications
Beijer Electronics, a leading provider of high-tech industrial automation and robust data communication solutions, has chosen IFS Applications to improve and standardise business processes throughout the Group. The contract includes software licences and services and has a total value of SKr 11.4 million.
IFS will implement IFS Applications for High-Tech Industries at Beijer Electronics. The initial phase of the project has already started, and Beijer Electronics has now decided to implement the system across the entire Group. The solution consists of IFS Applications components for finance, distribution, manufacturing, CRM, document management, project management and e-business.
Beijer Electronics selected IFS Applications after screening the market for agile, user-friendly and scalable business applications to support ambitious growth plans. The system will be implemented step-by-step to achieve a common platform for shared processes.
“We have high ambitions to grow organically, expand geographically and develop products with a market-driven approach. If we want to achieve this in a controlled and efficient manner, we need a modern, common business platform for the entire group,” Fredrik Jönsson, CEO at Beijer Electronics said.
“Utilising best-practice industry competence from IFS, we expect to increase the quality and efficiency of our business processes to achieve our goal of profitable growth.”
“Focus on selected industries is vital to our ability to deliver first-class industry solutions to customers worldwide,” Glenn Arnesen, Managing Director, IFS Scandinavia said. “Beijer Electronics’ choice shows our strategy is right and contributes to building our position as a leading global vendor to the high-tech industry."
IFS expects to deliver the project within the second quarter of 2011.
