Origin Enterprises plc selects Microsoft Dynamics AX from Columbus IT
Origin Enterprises Plc has selected Microsoft Dynamics AX with Microsoft Partner Columbus IT to ensure they are positioned for growth with a single IT platform across the group. Origin Enterprises plc is a leading Agri-Nutrition company listed on the ESM and AIM markets of the Irish and London Stock Exchanges.
Origin Enterprises has manufacturing and distribution operations in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Poland and Norway. The group has leading market positions in the supply of, integrated agronomy services, crop nutrition and feed ingredients.
Derek Wilson, CIO at Origin Enterprises commented that: “We are continuing to develop the quality and breadth of our services to our customers. As we do so we need a scalable solution that will enable us to develop and replicate our business processes in order to achieve our strategic objectives. Origin have purchased Microsoft Dynamics AX to replace a number of disparate systems in use around the group. The solution includes process manufacturing, supply chain management and customer relationship management."
Wilson continued: “We feel l that Microsoft Dynamics AX is an excellent functional fit to meet our requirements. We are a global business and we need a robust product and partner who will be able to deal with the complexities of our markets. Both Microsoft and Columbus IT demonstrated their expertise and credibility and gave us confidence that we are making the right decision.
