Advanced transmittal management in SharePoint with Transmit 2010
Cadac Organice BV, Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and developer of Cadac Organice (a SharePoint based engineering document management solution), introduces a new version of Cadac Organice Transmit. This new version further enhances the document distribution process in SharePoint and offers advanced transmittal management functionality.
Cadac Organice Transmit is a solution for document control and transmittal management in SharePoint. It helps project-driven engineering industries by distributing multiple documents efficiently to multiple recipients at once and by offering management information to document controllers who need to track transmittals that have been sent.
Version 2010 further enhances the document distribution process in SharePoint and offers advanced transmittal management functionality. Document controllers are supported with intuitive wizards to create document packages, distribution lists and transmittal definitions. Transmittal letters are automatically generated for each recipient listing the documents and the transmittal reason. Tasks, for instance to approve or revise documents, can be specified for each recipient, and a deadline for these tasks can be set.
Packages, distribution lists and transmittal definitions are stored and managed in SharePoint. If changes are made to documents or recipients, the related packages and distribution lists are automatically flagged “outdated”. Document controllers can update the package or distribution list and create new versions. This will then automatically flag the transmittal definition “outdated”, so document controllers can retransmit it.
Cadac Organice Transmit 2010 is developed as a SharePoint solution and can easily be installed and deployed on the SharePoint server. The feature can then easily be activated on any new and existing SharePoint site that needs functionality for document control and transmittal management.
