Infor helps #1 DIY retailchain in The Baltics overhaul sales and operations planning
Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, has announced the closing of a major new business win with UAB Senuku (Senukai) - the biggest DIY (Do It Yourself) retailer in the Baltics. The project encompasses the complete sales and operations planning (S&OP) cycle from demand planning and inventory optimization through to supply replenishment across their retail and wholesale branches. The solution includes Infor S&OP combined with the Infor SCM Demand Planning and Replenishment Planner. UAB Senukai expects the new systems and processes to help the company deliver higher levels of service (reduced stock-outs) with lower levels of work in process through better synchronization of demand and supply.
UAB Senuku Prekybos Centras (Senukai) is the biggest DIY (Do It Yourself) retailer in the Baltics. Senukai services wholesale and retail trade across a wide range of products including; materials for construction, electrical supplies and lighting, household appliances and equipment, sanitary products, sporting and leisure goods, gardening products and audio and video systems. ‘Senuku Prekybos Centras’ trade in products are supplied by nearly 1500 foreign and 900 local producers. Up to 300 various foreign companies have authorized Senuku Prekybos Centras to be their exclusive representative in Lithuania or in the Baltic States. Company’s product range exceeds 155000SKU.
Companies like Senukai are increasingly challenged to improve the efficiency of their operations to anticipate changes in demand and respond quickly with supply whilst keeping inventories lean. Infor will help Senukai to reduce overall stock levels while avoiding stock-out situations by improving demand forecast accuracy for every product at every location and planning replenishment across their international supply chain. Infor S&OP enables UAB Senukai to get more insight into their demand and supply plans, perform real-time ‘what-if’ scenario planning for different demand-supply conditions and assess their plans in unit and financial terms. Event management and workflow will help Senukai quickly detect problems in their supply chain and highlight these to the appropriate people to improve responsiveness. The project covers Senukai’s retail and wholesale branches with more than 91 company-owned or franchise DIY stores and more than 150,000 permanent wholesale buyers in Lithuania and abroad.
Infor S&OP is a new solution, purpose-built for the unique needs of manufacturers, suppliers and distributors. The solution provides capabilities for bringing together demand, supply and financial plans into a single application with deep analytics and embedded workflow that supports all stages of the sales and operations planning process.
The business goal is to gain consensus on a single plan that aligns the financial and operational plans for the business. It helps to achieve a consistent, synchronized planning and analytics process throughout all hierarchies of the organization allowing timely approvals enforced through embedded task management and workflows. It is the first dedicated sales and operations planning solution to integrate extensive ’what if’ scenario building tools directly into decision-making workflows.
“Our company constantly invests in the improvement of its processes; introduces advanced process management systems aiming at efficient use of available resources, reduced time for client servicing, and optimization of interaction with suppliers,” said Evaldas Ziedelis, Head of IT, UAB Senuku Prekybos Centras (Senukai). “Supply chain management is a very important process with a significant impact on the company’s results. We trust our new solutions Infor S&OP and Demand & Replenishment Planner will help us quickly, accurately and more profitably adjust operations and thus improve operational efficiency.”
“To manage the complexity in today's business environment, you need a software solution that utilizes specialized functionality tailored for your business,” said Pieter Leijten, VP SCM EMEA, Infor. “Infor’s proven supply chain solutions bring visibility and insight into all aspects of the demand and supply picture. They ultimately lead to supply chain plans that are optimized for service, revenue and costs. By deploying Infor S&OP and SCP, we’re confident that Senukai will improve their operational efficiency and, in the end, their overall profitability.”
