Latest version of ERP software suite Sage 200 gets great feedback
In May 2011, UK business software giant Sage released a new version of its mid-market ERP solution Sage 200. The latest release, called Sage 200 2011, now works with iPhone and Blackberry mobile devices and includes an integrated e-marketing system within its CRM module. The Sage development team has also extensively redesigned the product’s time and expense management tool while further enhancing its business intelligence, bill of materials, data migration and manufacturing functionality.
Commenting on the latest version of Sage 200, Debbie Clarke, ERP Consultant at Concentrix TSG said: “There’s a real buzz about Sage 200 2011, especially how well it works with mobile devices. If you use an IPhone, IPad or Blackberry you can access Sage 200 to keep up to date with important business information whether you’re in the office or out and about. When we demonstrated Sage 200 2011 working on an IPad at a recent Concentrix TSG customer day the feedback was absolutely fantastic - everyone loved it!”
Sage 200 2011 is a fully integrated and modular business management solution. This means that rather than using a number of separate software applications in different areas of your organisation, all your businesses processes are run from within a single software suite. The foundation modules of Sage 200 2011 are for Financials and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), while optional modules are available for a wide range of specific functions. These include commercials, business intelligence, project accounting and web time and expenses, manufacturing, wholesale and retail.
The new e-marketing tool in Sage 200 2011 works within the product’s CRM module to help users quickly and efficiently create, send, track and analyse email campaigns delivered to customers and prospects.
Clarke continues: “The e-marketing tool shows Sage’s strong commitment to making Sage 200 a fully comprehensive business management suite that helps all areas of a business work more effectively. The product’s CRM functionality already delivers major benefits to Sales, Marketing and Customer Service staff in particular and the e-marketing tool clearly differentiates Sage 200 in this area.”
Businesses choosing Sage 200 as their ERP solution have the assurance that it will be supported and further developed in the short, medium and long-term. Sage has a structured plan for future development of the product, which include a cloud-based version by the end of 2012.
Clarke concludes: “The Sage 200 suite is a really popular mid-market ERP solution. It’s ideal for businesses that need solid functionality around distribution and stock as well as accounts, have outgrown a product such as Sage 50 or are looking at deploying an ERP solution for the first time. Having said that, at Concentrix TSG we are ‘product agnostic’ and we will only recommend the ERP software which is right for your business. So, if you need help and advice choosing an ERP solution, please get in touch.”
