Sheldon and Clayton go live with ATMS WMS in record time
Sheldon and Clayton, the fast growing pan European multimodal logistics provider has broken all records; going live in under three weeks with ATMS’s StockTrack PLUS Warehouse Management System.
The company was successful in winning a major storage and distribution contract for a bathroom equipment manufacturer at very short notice. A good WMS was a prerequisite for success of the contact. The system needed to handle electronic data interchange (EDI) files and manage the warehouse flow with real-time radio frequency (RF) handheld barcode scanning equipment. Having the ability to track and trace batch identification was a key factor in the success of winning the 5-year account.
Richard Davies, Sheldon and Clayton’s Projects Director, commented: “We selected ATMS because of their extensive track record in warehouse management; their solution stood out in terms of ease of use and flexibility, and their project team inspired us with the confidence that our short timescales could be met”.
Steve Cross, Managing Director of ATMS commented: “It’s good to see that our strategy of ensuring fast deployment for our customers is paying off – fast deployment means fast results and lower costs for our clients”.
The StockTrackPLUS WMS was implemented at Sheldon and Clayton’s modern high bay narrow aisle warehouse in West Bromwich. They are using the latest Navista hand held terminals and mobile printers within the operation and plan to use the ATMS productivity dashboard tools. They are also looking to use the ATMS RemStock module which will allow them to extend the WMS to remote warehouse and stores over the mobile phone network with no additional infrastructure required.
