Columbus IT wins perfume manufacturer with global presence
Columbus IT has recently landed a major order in the UK with CPL Aromas, thereby securing yet another strategic win in the process manufacturing industry. The agreement comprises the delivery of Microsoft Dynamics AX for Process Manufacturers based on the just released AX2012, strategic planning and implementation, consultancy and standard software, which is to be implemented on a global scale across company divisions.
“CPL Aromas were convinced that Microsoft Dynamics AX was the right product, but they were uncertain in their selection of partner and decided to run a three month program of due diligence to ensure that Columbus was the right partner with the required expertise, knowledge and suitable global presence to suit CPL Aromas' needs. Throughout the exercise Columbus IT proved to be the best business partner both locally and globally. After proving our industry knowledge and AX skills throughout the three month’s period CPL Aromas chose us and Microsoft Dynamics AX2012, which is still a beta version, and we are thereby commencing the project prior to its official release,” says Country Manager Mary Hunter, Columbus IT UK.
The global perfume manufacturer is operating from seventeen key areas around the globe. CPL Aromas needed to restructure their entire IT system in order to provide a sound platform for current and future growth, and an industry specific ERP solution was sought for in order to facilitate this process.
“CPL Aromas is an international business with manufacturing, sales and creative centres placed strategically around the world. Our solution set based on AX2012 for manufacturers will help resolve the challenges of operating disparate systems on a global scale by giving them full visibility across operations in their organisation and optimisation of control through one single platform,” says country manager Mary Hunter, Columbus IT UK.
Businesses within the process manufacturing industry is benefitting from Columbus IT’s strategic focus on this industry.
“It is very clear how mature the companies in the process manufacturing industry are towards the possibilities and gains that follow with optimising their business processes and resource management. This recent win with CPL Aromas is one among many recent wins and bears witness to our strong strategic position in the process manufacturing industry,” says CEO Thomas Honoré, Columbus IT.
“This major investment in new ERP systems is fundamental to providing increased levels of customer service for CPL Aromas and we are therefore very pleased to be partnered with Columbus IT in this vital project that will help drive our business forward in the years to come. CPL Aromas provides world class products and services and this new investment with Columbus will ensure we can meet the challenges faced within the global fragrance industry,” says Group CEO Chris Pickthall, CPL Aromas.
