Poultry Processing LINKFresh Supply Chain Solution deployed in only 6 Weeks
Anglia Business Solutions has announced that its LINKFresh Supply Chain Business Management solution has been successfully deployed for 2 Sisters Food Group. The project to install the end to end Microsoft Dynamics NAV based LINKFresh solution was subject to a critical rapid deployment timescale and was successfully completed in only 6 weeks.
2 Sisters Food Group is a leading supplier of poultry, chilled, frozen and bakery products to the retail, food service and food manufacturing sectors. The fully integrated end to end supply chain LINKFresh deployment included Finance, Forecasting & Planning, Live Inventory Management, Quality Control, Packing Centre Management, Warehouse Operations, Delivery Schedules and Logistics. The solution also provides for state of the art mobility applications for Stock Management, Quality Control, Intake, Picking, Dispatch, Label verification and Printing. It also included leading edge touch screen applications to hygienically track and trace product and labour in real time throughout its shop floor operations.
Commenting on the project, Andy Marshall, Group Systems Manager at 2 Sisters Food Group said: “The operational date for our new factory facility in Thetford was fixed and could not be moved. The LINKFresh deployment therefore had to be completed to a very tight timescale with no contingency for slippage. The can-do approach adopted by both the Anglia and 2 Sisters teams ensured that key project milestones were met and the risks comfortably managed.” Marshall continues: “Even in the early days of production activities in the new factory we can already see the benefits that the LINKFresh solution provide. These include easy to use product traceability facilities and impressive productivity statistics on the factory floor.”
Anglia’s Commercial Director Robert Frost said: “While we have deployed LINKFresh rapidly within four months previously, the functionality and sophistication wasn’t as comprehensive as the 2 Sisters supply chain solution. This showcased the advantages provided by the Microsoft Dynamics NAV and .NET Rapid Development Environment and the flexibility of the LINKFresh packaged solution. This allowed the successful deployment into a new business model in an amazing 6 weeks. However, this achievement would not have been possible without the dedication, commitment and expertise of both the Anglia and 2 Sisters project teams.”
