Workspace iPhone access module puts information at your fingertips
Available on both the iPhone and iPad is the release of Union Square's first module not targeted at Internet Explorer. "Demand for speedy and seamless access to company data, from a mobile device, has grown rapidly in recent times. More than 75% of our 30,000 users have a smart mobile phone and don't necessarily want to open their laptop every time they need access to a document or to some pertinent project detail. This is the start of a longer term strategy to support mobile devices more comprehensively" says Commercial Director, Will Yandell.
Allowing users to easily access and search the data and documents within their Workspace systems, use of the module is expected to grow exponentially. A number of Workspace clients are already using the iPhone module and are realising the significant benefits. Rob Stearne, Business Improvement Manager at contractors, Lakesmere Ltd has been up and running for a few months now and comments: "The Workspace iPhone module has really helped me when I need to find contacts on the move, just recently on a trip to Kiev, I was able to see all the contacts associated with a project and quickly locate the person I needed to speak to."
Real time access to contact, project and enquiry data, combined with rapid document search features, means users are able to do much of what they do on their laptop, from their iPhone or iPad.
Workspace is a lleading knowledge management solution for businesses within the construction industry supply chain. It stores project information in one central repository against projects, organisations and contacts.
