Smiths Equipment Hire invests in Access Dimensions
The northwest’s largest independent plant, access, and small tools hire company, Smiths Equipment Hire, has invested in a new financial software solution from Access UK. Smiths has ambitious growth and expansion plans and the incumbent Sage Line 50 solution was struggling to deal with the volume of transactions being processed.
Scott Green, financial director at Smiths, said: “We needed to replace our existing financial solution with a more appropriate one for the size of our business. We required a system that was capable of dealing with high transaction volumes and has a robust database that will allow the business to grow, as we look to increase our turnover to £8 million in the next two to three years.”
Access Dimensions not only offers all of this but will integrate with hire software Syrinx by Higher Concept, which takes care of all the hiring, stock, purchasing and invoicing of the organisation.“One of the contributing factors to us selecting Access Dimensions was its strong reporting ability, with detailed depot performance data split, and the interaction of Access with Microsoft Excel for budgeting and forecasting, and our hire software,” concluded Scott.
