The Hospital of God simplifies accounts with Access Dimensions
One of the country’s longest established care providers, The Hospital of God at Greatham, is investing in a new financial solution from Access UK. The charitable and housing trust, established in 1273, has selected Access Dimensions to bring greater visibility of information to the organisation and provide a more controlled debt handling and monitoring system for processing resident fees.
David Granath, director of The Hospital of God at Greatham, said: “Our current system is not providing the management information the business requires and the majority of reporting is maintained outside the system, which involves duplicated entry. With Access Dimensions we’ll avoid having to significantly add to our employee count as we benefit from the efficiencies of a streamlined integrated system.”
The finance department currently transfer information manually from the existing system to Excel to produce management reports, by the time they’ve been compiled the data is often out of date. “It takes us four days to produce an income and expenditure analysis. The new solution from Access will bring a significant time-saving to all processes, as well as give our chief operations officer and other staff access to real-time information,” continued David.
Jon Jorgensen, group sales director at Access, said: “Access Dimensions will facilitate ease of operation in a time and cost effective manner, providing robust information that will give management confidence in the decision making process.”
The charity is now embarking upon a programme of development for new care and support services, funded entirely from its own resources. David concluded: “We see Access as supporting this work in to the future in a more complex social care environment.”
The Hospital of God at Greatham is based in the north east of England providing care predominantly to older people. It currently operates two residential and nursing care homes, 110 almshouses, 75 tenanted properties, and other land and commercial holdings, and day care and community support services for people with dementure.
