Stephen George and Partners (SGP) have purchased TIMEminder for Architects - a practice management system for UK architectural practices.
Established in 1970, architects & planners SGP had been relying on a bespoke database system to help them to manage the business. As the practice grew and diversified, the existing database no longer delivered the level of information that the managers required. After evaluating several options on the market, the decision was made to implement TIMEminder for Architects.
Some of the main benefits of the system include early warning of over spending, faster billing and charging for additional work and variations, instant desktop reporting for partners and job runners and system personalisation according to specific needs.
"TIMEminder covered 95% of our requirements in an off the shelf package. This coupled with the flexibility of a Web-based solution, the low capital outlay and monthly licence fee made it the right solution at the right price" said Partner, Michael Barker.
To allow the practice to effectively evaluate past performance, 1500 past projects are being imported into TIMEminder by supplier PH-media. All future projects will be setup and monitored in the new system. The advantages of desktop reporting for the managing associates are clear: instant access to costs to date on projects and stages, standardised reporting on project progress across the whole practice and better resource and cost management.
"With SGP we have now exceeded 2000 users and 100 practices which is testament to the quality of our product and the service we provide to our clients" concludes Andy Heath, Sales Director, PH-media.
