Enterprise portal technology provider, Union Square Software, has signed up international architects and designers Benoy, ranked 19 in this year's AJ100.
David Coyne, Executive Director said: "We have been monitoring developments in the use of portal technology for some years now but have held back from investing until we were confident that we had found the right product for us. Workspace is a tool that we believe will deliver on a number of fronts, supporting our architects, designers and indeed the entire team across all of our offices both here in the UK and overseas."
The overriding drivers for the implementation of such a comprehensive system were efficiency gains through the enforcement of procedures and the ability to bring the international company together through the use of a single and inclusive package.
Mike Lewis, Senior Associate Director and the man responsible for Benoy's groundbreaking work with project extranets, was tasked with coming up with a short list: "There are literally hundreds of solutions out there but we have chosen Workspace because they have productised the approach to delivering a solution for the AEC market. With their growing user base within the architectural profession we are confident that the product will continue to flourish and evolve with the growth of Benoy."
Will Yandell, Commercial Director at Union Square said: "This is tremendous news for us, we have been working hard to establish ourselves within the architectural community and this relationship together with our existing contract wins with Grimshaw and Ruddle Wilkinson puts us firmly on the map. Architectural practices are a key part of our market and we expecting 2005 to be even more successful."
