Causeway Technologies has announced that the Roadbridge Sisk Joint Venture has selected Causeway Collaboration to assist in the multi million N8 Cashel to Mitchelstown Road project in Ireland.
Roadbridge, ranked among the largest Irish civil engineering contractors has formed a joint venture with Sisk, the largest general contractor in Ireland. The project involves the provision of a 37km (24.6 miles) dual carriageway from the southern end of the proposed By-Pass and is due to be completed 2009.
To help the key information flow, Causeway will provide a collaborative system which is now mandated for the larger motorway projects, initiated by the National Roads Authority (NRA).
Big savings will be made from better collaboration through the sharing of key project data between all parties involved. The added bonuses come from ease of document retrieval as well as savings from holding multiple electronic copies of documents rather than in paper & printed format.
Other key advantages include a central store of information which can be indexed and searched in seconds, allowing increased efficiency and the most up to date versions worked on.
A range of alternatives were considered before selecting Causeway to supply the answer with its high quality, easy to use solution and excellent technical support. Tom Crowther, the ECM Key Account Director commented: "Causeway is totally committed to providing the highest quality solution and levels of support within the industry. Our list of clients is steadily growing and reflects our understanding of the issues involved and the challenges faced by our customers"
