Texaco's RelayStar package delivery division has announced Spar will become its first package collection point partner in the UK with the first site to go live at a Spar Cappers outlet in Didcot Oxford.

Spar, the world's largest retail food and convenience chain, has 2,700 stores in the UK. In the first phase the agreement will bring 295 possible new Spar collection points, which combined with Texaco's network of service stations will increase the RelayStar UK network to over 1,000.

Texaco's RelayStar service, launched in June 2002, enables businesses and retailers to use its network of service stations for package pick up and return. RelayStar is currently servicing the spare-parts delivery and return requirements for high-tech multi-national clients including IBM, NCR, Logicom and Sabre Supply Management.
