It's not just the big brands that are flocking to Interbuild . . . visitors are also committing in their thousands to attend the UK's top construction event.
As at March 9, a total of 31,549 people had pre-registered for Interbuild 2006, which takes place at Birmingham's NEC from April 23-27.
And that's a staggering 24 per cent increase compared to the corresponding stage when the show last took place in 2004.
Said Interbuild 2006 Event Director Gordon Thomas: "It's always slightly dangerous to get too carried away by pre-registration figures but they do provide a great indication of the way the potential audience are reacting.
"It's clear that people like what they hear about our plans for the show and more than ever, they are stating their intention to attend the event.
"We're certainly very excited about the way things are taking shape and I'm sure that part of the attraction for visitors is the news that the big names are coming back next month."
Among the construction giants returning to Interbuild are Lafarge, the world leader in building materials, Corus, Henkel, H & H Celcon, Hanson and Dupont while Wolseley, the UK's largest supplier of plumbing and heating products, will be making its first-ever appearance at Interbuild.
The exhibition will also feature more than 1,000 smaller independent companies showing a vast range of specialist products.
Added Gordon: "Interbuild has always been renowned as the event which unites all areas of construction under one roof and that makes it the perfect place to do business.
"I'm very confident that the reputation the show has earned and cherished over more than 100 years will be enhanced next month and it will be a successful event for exhibitors and visitors alike."
