Users of the EstimatorXpress software from HBXL have now produced estimates equivalent to the cost of building five Wembley Stadiums!

The amazing figure follows the meteoric rise in number of users of the software since it was launched in October 2004, which now stands at over 2,000 builders.

It's also been found that builders who use the software are twice as likely to win the work they quote for than those who do not.

Joanna Mulgrew, marketing director of EstimatorXpress said: "The figure is quite staggering and indicates the rising popularity of the software. Users are spending a lot less time producing quotes, which means they can concentrate on the projects in hand or spend more time relaxing!

"With users being twice as likely to win work means they are becoming more productive and are either having to produce less quotes to maintain current turnover or are taking on more jobs and are in a position to expand. All in all it leads to increased turnover, better profits and growing businesses."

The stark reality according to Joanna is that builders who are not using EstimatorXpress will find it increasingly difficult to compete with those that do.

Joanna added: "Builders who work into the night or on weekends producing quotes are not utilising their time very well. Who wants to work long hours which impacts on your social and family life when there's an alternative, easier and quicker way to do just the same thing?"

In cash terms EstimatorXpress has achieved time savings for its users worth £28 million based on a £30 per hour rate and protected £37 million worth of builder turnover by ensuring wastage, wear and tear and theft are factored into estimates.

The beauty of EstimatorXpress is in part down to the way users input the details of the job they are quoting for. Easy to understand building drawings means entering dimensions is straight forward. Once all the dimensions are in, EstimatorXpress does the rest thanks to a direct internet link to a live merchant's price list.

A full breakdown of the quote can then be produced, enabling the user to present their quote in a professional and easy to understand manner.
