Secureseal has launched a new product that provides up-to-date trailer fleet information via the web. Developed using advanced RFID, GPRS and web technology the Secureseal System gathers vehicle and trailer information relating to location, security and temperature. This data is then presented in easy to view table formats via an internet connected PC.

The specially developed self powered RFID transmitters provide an ID and location with the added functionality of temperature and security data if required. By using the Secureseal System an operation will receive a real time view of the location of all trailers within a network and are provided with a complete up to date picture of the trailer fleet's status.

Used in conjunction with the market leading Secureseal reusable security seal the system will also provide a full seal audit trail plus seal violation alerts. Refrigerated trailer temperature can also be monitored offering a useful record for meeting due diligence obligations and coupled with an in cab display it can alert drivers to potentially costly spoiled loads allowing remedial action to be taken.

Secureseal, as part of the OEM Group, has pioneered the use of Low Power Radio Frequency and GPRS technology to capture and transmit data. Self powered RFID transmitters are fixed to vehicles and trailers with wireless data routed to cellular hubs eliminating the need for conventional underground sensors, gantries or high cost GPS.

Secureseal System can be updated frequently from every 10 minutes to twice each day dependent upon the operator's requirements. Fleet Managers can search by trailer or site, receive automatic MOT, servicing and absent trailer alerts and are provided with various other management reports relating to fleet utilisation and productivity.
