File management solution providing instantaneous browsing of multiple documents irrespective of file format

Electronic document archiving specialist, Techne-Comm today launched  Flickthru, a file management solution enabling users to instantly view all documents within a client or project file, irrespective of the file format.  Flickthru is perfect for users operating within client or project based environments because you can scroll or flick through many opened documents and e-mails without having to launch each one separately. 

Flickthru also provides a wide range of searching, 'threading' and viewing facilities so that specific documents or groups of documents can be quickly found and accessed.  With Flickthru all client or project documents and e-mails are in one central file that can be opened allowing the user to flick through or browse the opened documents inside the file.

Any number of computer generated documents from different applications e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Practice Management Software etc are automatically 'captured', OCR'ed, and then indexed and categorised to a client or project file.  A file of documents can be any combination of letters, e-mails, reports, spreadsheets etc and they are all instantly opened in date order. 

Flickthru differs from other document management solutions as it enables viewing of all documents instantly.  The user can also quickly browse the whole of the opened client or project file to see the history as well as the relationships between various documents. With the other document management solutions currently available the user must view a list of documents relating to a client or project and then individually select each document by launching the appropriate programme ie Word, Outlook, Excel etc in order to view it, taking up precious time.  In addition there is often not the facility to view one document's relationship to others without first opening several separate documents which may be in different formats. 

All indexing and categorising of inbound and outbound documents together with e-mails, reports, spreadsheets etc is based on user defined indexes and categories.  Existing client or project file codes and data can be imported from existing systems.  Current practices and methodology can also be retained due to the in-built flexibility within Flickthru making the change from manual or current computer filing systems seamless. 

No document is ever lost or mislaid within Flickthru and they can only be accessed by those with rights applied within Active Directory or to specific groups or users within groups, overcoming problems relating to who can see which file.
