Patagonia to use PTC PLM solutions to optimize design and manufacturing of its activewear lines
PTC, the Product Development Company, announced that its customer, Patagonia, has expanded its use of FlexPLM, PTC's Retail, Footwear and Apparel solution, to optimize the design and manufacturing of its apparel lines. Patagonia, a leading producer and marketer of clothing for outdoor sports, hopes to use the PTC solution to improve operational efficiency by providing a single version of product information that is visible across its product development teams and supply partners.

Patagonia is using PTC to help manage their multi-product line involves both global suppliers and distribution channels. In addition, Patagonia is taking advantage of the capabilities this solution offers to gain early visibility into the makeup of the line to identify any modifications, such as late adds or drops. This early visibility enables companies to quickly communicate modifications to the entire team in order to minimize market delays or increased product costs.
