Destiny, a world leader in forms-based Digital Pen and Paper technology, is to unveil a location-aware digital pen and paper service that can locate mobile workers when they have completed a task or job and automatically navigate them to their next job. It will improve customer service as it ensures timely arrival at client site and will help managers to gain complete visibility over their workforce.
Using a handheld device with an integrated GPS receiver and SATNAV, mobile workers are able to receive jobs within their geographical remit and effectively plan their route to client-site. On arrival, they can perform their jobs and enter details using their digital pen and paper. Digital pen & paper is enabled by Anoto Functionality which automatically captures handwritten data and transmits it through a Bluetooth pairing with their PDA device to a back office computer. As soon as the information is transmitted, it is time and date stamped, complete with a GPS location.
Edward Belgeonne, CEO of Destiny states: "For many businesses, operation depends on being able to quickly respond to customer demand. The combination of Digital pen and paper and GPS brings a unique and fuller toolset to business forms processing, providing managers with real-time information that will greatly assist in the business planning process. Jobs can now be quickly allocated to a free worker in any given location, ensuring that they can get to the customer's front door in a timely manner."
