For their dairy farm equipment manufacturing, Dairymaster undertook a detailed analysis of potential Manufacturing Execution System (MES) suppliers before selecting Barco as their partner. Barco's PLANTMASTER system will provide Dairymaster with real-time visibility of machine performance and quality reporting.

Injection moulding machines and manual assembly stations will be connected to the Barco PLANTMASTER MES using Barco's wireless data units, providing a system architecture that offers considerable savings on cable installation costs to the customer.

To provide real-time visibility of machine performance, quality information and also energy consumption data, the very latest PLANTMASTER system will prove an invaluable tool.  Furthermore, operatives will be able to configure ad-hoc reports with the user-friendly and powerful design tools provided by PLANTMASTER.

The need for manual data entry of production schedules etc will be removed through integration of an automatic link between PLANTMASTER and Dairymaster's existing scheduling system.  This will empower users with real-time information on order progress on the shop floor.
