New invoice processing solution delivers greater control and cost savings
e-Docs UK, one of the UK's independent providers of document and business process management solutions, has introduced 'Purchase To Pay', a complete outsourced invoice processing solution. This solution will deliver immediate and significant cost savings of around 40% with a rapid return on investment whilst giving greater control of the whole accounts payable and receivable process.
According to Colin Baterip, Managing Director of e-Docs UK: "This outsourced solution delivers faster data retrieval and provides greater visibility of the whole invoicing process. What is more, it will reduce processing time for each invoice by up to 80% and slash processing costs by up to 50%."
'Purchase to Pay' automates the manual processes involved in sorting, keying, batching, inputting, approving, querying, rejecting, archiving and paying invoices. It uses powerful, high-speed scanning systems and the latest data capture software to rapidly process high volumes of documents at minimal cost, whether paper-based or in electronic formats such as email, PDF or XML.
All data is automatically uploaded onto DocHaven, e-Docs UK's secure web-based data repository, for immediate access. This service can also be extended to customers and suppliers who can create and enter invoices as well as following their progress from start to finish.
Invoices are automatically matched to purchase order data according to predefined criteria and processing is carried out according to individual business rules. Authorised approvers are automatically notified of invoices that require their attention via email. When approved, invoice values are automatically uploaded to ERP or financial systems including SAP, Oracle, Sun, JDE, Movex, Navision and Sage.
"As one of the UK's most technologically advanced providers of document management services and solutions, e-Docs UK is one of the only supplier that is able to deliver a complete end-to-end solution for the processing of both sales and purchase invoices along with workflow and a supplier portal," continued Colin Baterip. "We provide a realistic and effective alternative to the limited single solutions or services offered by other suppliers."
This is achieved without the need for heavy capital outlay, the acquisition of new skills or requesting suppliers to change the way they operate. It speeds up the invoice handling process, reduces errors and lowers administrative costs.
For local authorities, this outsourced solution will enable them to meet government performance indicators to make payments to suppliers within 30 days and meet e-government requirements for a paperless order-to-payment process.
