European IT company reveals the world's smallest, quietest server with the lowest carbon footprint available
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has announced the most energy efficient server in the world - the PRIMERGY TX120 tower server. Retaining the full functionality of the PRIMERGY range, the award winning PRIMERGY TX120 addresses the unique requirements of smaller businesses and Distributed Branch Offices, setting new standards in environmentally conscious design with the smallest carbon footprint of any server available today.
Three world records in one
In a world dominated by digital technology, a reliable and accessible IT infrastructure is vital for companies of all sizes as well as branch offices of larger companies. The PRIMERGY TX120 is designed to meet the unique requirements of customers in these environments by providing effective support for a huge breadth of applications, and ensuring effective data buffering, backups and providing Internet/Intranet access.
There are three factors that make the PRIMERGY TX120 unique:
1. Lowest energy use. The TX120 consumes 40 percent less energy than conventional tower servers. The resultant world-leading carbon footprint means lower environmental impact and significant power consumption and financial savings.
2. Smallest size. The PRIMERGY TX120 is only one-third the size of standard tower servers. The compact housing measures just 99mm by 340mm by 399 mm (WxHxD).
3. Lowest noise levels. The TX120 is the quietest server in its class, with noise emissions 50 percent lower than standard tower servers -particularly important for offices without a separate server room. The PRIMERGY TX120 produces 28 decibels (dB) while idling and 31 dB in operation, meaning that staff can work without being disturbed.
Like all the other servers in the PRIMERGY family, the PRIMERGY TX120 ships with PRIMERGY Server View Remote Management functions, enabling flexible, secure and economical management of the server from any location at any time. The presence of a local administrator is no longer necessary, making the PRIMERGY TX120 ideal for branch offices or dispersed workgroups within a company, or as a standalone server within a small business.
