K3 Business Technology Group has announced the introduction of new load planning functionality to its SYSPRO enterprise software, helping manufacturers and distributors further enhance customer service levels
SYSPRO Load Planning improves the picking and loading of goods and helps determine when orders can be delivered. The allocation of a route code allows a standard delivery method, distance and sequence of delivery to be assigned for each customer (or warehouse, for an SCT order), whilst a delivery frequency can be associated with each route, along with the number of deliveries which can be made in a single day.
SYSPRO Load Planning allows orders to be associated to customer- or warehouse-specific routes. As each line is added to the order, the appropriate route detail (load) is calculated according either to the required delivery date, or based on the availability of stock and load capacity. Loads are managed by initialising them for a selected, reviewable, period ahead whilst several reports are available to assist in the planning and monitoring of loads.
K3 Managing Director, Howard Joseph says: “Customer service is a primary area of competition for manufacturers and distributors, and SYSPRO Load Planning can help them enhance customer satisfaction levels through improved on-time delivery.”
