Wholesale bathroom distribution company, City Distribution has improved internal business processes and is set to boost customer satisfaction with XWD, the distribution system from XKO Software Limited

Incorporated in 1987, City Distribution is a Blackpool based wholesale bathroom distribution company offering a next day delivery service to most areas of the North of England. Buying and distributing products direct from major manufacturers both in the UK and the rest of the world enables it to offer a diverse product portfolio from bathroom basics to luxury imports.

Mark Errington, Sales and Marketing  Director, comments: “With a surge in transactions over the last few years our ERP software could not cope with the increasing volume. This started causing us a great deal of problems, especially when more than one user wanted to access information, in fact it was causing a notable frustration across our customer base who we often had to put on hold or call back while we waited for the system to catch up.”

With the number of transactions set to increase further it was paramount that the new ERP system was reliable and efficient, not only to improve the levels of customer satisfaction but to also enhance overall business process including stock control and accounting within City Distribution.

Errington continues: “With the implementation of XKO we expect not only handle a large number of transactions at the same time within the system, our stock control will become more efficient and effortless to understand. Now instead of only being able to search using a complicated product code across over 3000 product lines, you can search by a number of factors including; customer name, price of the product or postcode of the customer.”
