Making project planning even easier
Asta Development has announced the launch of version 3 of Asta Easyplan, its simple project planning software tool for construction companies. This latest version has new features that make Asta Easyplan even easier to use.
Seven ‘Project Wizards’ guide users through different aspects of planning construction projects in a step-by-step manner. An enhanced file sharing facility enables users to integrate their plans with any project planning software used by the industry including Primavera file formats.
“Asta Easyplan version 3 is designed to have project planning novices making the most of the software in next to no time. It also has some great new features for more seasoned users,” said Michael McCullen, Managing Director. “Asta Easyplan is the easiest to use planning tool for managing smaller construction projects – and it has just become even easier.”
The Project Wizards assist users with common activities such as creating a project, adding and linking tasks to show the logical order in which they need to take place as well as entering progress against tasks. The Organise Tasks Wizard allows users to group similar tasks and summarise them under one heading, for example ‘1st floor build’. This will then restructure the plan grouping all the elements of the first floor together so that the plan is easier to read. The Project Wizards are straightforward so anyone can use them and no previous experience of Asta Easyplan – or project planning software – is required.
Asta Easyplan has also increased its data interchange capabilities meaning that plans can be saved to numerous formats including Primavera. This unique capability ensures that smaller construction companies using Asta Easyplan can work with bigger main contractors regardless of the system they employ. Users can also copy and paste data, such as task lists, between Asta Easyplan and Microsoft Excel.
