Infor experiences strong customer growth in Performance Management
Infor has announced strong customer adoption of Infor Performance Management (PM), an integrated suite of applications that help organisations link corporate strategy to operational plans.
Customers in the manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, government, and energy and utilities industries selected Infor PM software to improve visibility into the financial and operational health of their company.
Companies from around the world, such as Corporación Mexicana de Restaurants (Mexico), CorpusSireo (Germany), Dana Petroleum (U.K.), Fronius (Austria), LEO Pharma (Denmark), QIOPTIQ (France), Shaklee (U.S.), Smiths Group (U.K.), and World Vision International (Philippines) have selected Infor PM within the last 12 months.
The momentum was accelerated by the launch in November 2007 of Infor PM 10, the integrated suite of PM applications and analytics from Infor’s acquisitions of Extensity MPC and Systems Union MIS. A strong factor behind customer selection of Infor PM is the single, secure database that underpins the applications. This approach eliminates data entry errors from users rekeying information into multiple, disconnected systems.
Key market drivers behind the adoption of Infor PM include enterprises that are moving away from spreadsheet-based analysis towards more robust and automated applications that bring together key data from disparate sources for activities such as planning and budgeting, consolidation and forecasting.
Additionally, organisations are adopting Infor PM because it provides pre-built applications that map strategies to goals, plans, budgets and forecasts, combining financial and operational measures to improve performance overall.
According to a December 2007 report by Gartner: “There is a large unaddressed market opportunity as users replace spreadsheet-based applications with more-robust solutions, and many organisations that previously deployed some Corporate Performance Management applications typically have small, isolated implementations of single applications (for example, a legacy financial-consolidation application deployed in the corporate finance function1).”

Infor PM 10, the latest version, enables users to navigate essential business processes using a single system, from strategy management, planning and budgeting, to financial reporting, financial consolidation and forecasting. Customers can also deploy components from the Infor PM 10 suite to address specific business needs, such as Infor PM Planning and Budgeting, Infor PM Financial Consolidation, Infor PM Forecasting, Infor PM OLAP, or Infor PM Application Studio.
