Survey Systems Ltd celebrate 25 years in business with the launch of a new and unique service
Survey Systems operate nation-wide from the South Manchester Head Office and regional office in Slough. The organisation has grown over the past twenty five years to become one of the largest and most well known independent surveying practices in the UK supplying multidisciplinary surveying services together with the sale, hire and repair of surveying and ancillary equipment.
Survey Systems introduce a new service for monitoring and reporting moisture and temperature levels in buildings utilising the very latest technology. The system measures and logs data parameters such as % relative humidity, temperature and moisture in materials and when configured, immediately warn of any potential problems as they occur, thus enabling immediate action to be taken.
Small wireless sensors are placed in a building and readings sent to a Data Acquisition Gateway. The Gateway connects easily to the Internet via a broadband Ethernet connection or telephone modem. The measurements can be viewed online using a secure login to access the data. Survey Systems can supply comprehensive reports at set dates, or immediately if required or any warnings are raised by the system. Either way, the service can be tailored to the client’s needs.
The system monitors relative humidity, temperature, and moisture content in buildings The system is ideal for long and short-term monitoring in buildings at potential or immediate risk of moisture related problems, leading to property damage and mould growth. Catching moisture intrusion problems early can prevent decay and mould, which are associated with health risks to building occupants, the structural integrity of the building itself and any potential damage to the internal fixtures and fittings.
