Sanderson, the publicly owned UK provider of manufacturing software, has won a contract to supply its Unity solution to Valley, a leading Point of Purchase display manufacturer.
Valley designs, prints and manufactures Point of Purchase displays at its Bingley and Keighley sites in West Yorkshire. Established in 1892, the family-run business now has a broad customer base of blue chip companies including Sony, Sky, Disney, Bosch and Bentley. With diverse operations including both discrete manufacturing and printing, Valley had been seeking a solution for over five years to replace its existing bespoke system and Sage ledgers. After demonstrating Unity’s capability to integrate all aspects of Valley’s operations and support long-term business growth, Sanderson secured the order in just 7 weeks from initial contact.
The Sanderson solution provides Valley with a single integrated system to manage all aspects of its manufacturing and printing business, increasing efficiency and control. Valley’s previous separate systems had limited business visibility and responsiveness; now the fully integrated Sanderson software ensures complete enterprise-wide visibility, helping to improve management decision-making and reduce costs.
By managing all production processes through the central Sanderson system Valley can ensure customer estimates are accurate and consistent, and respond more quickly to customer requirements. The solution will help increase profitability by improving cost control throughout the business and allowing better margin calculation at the point of sale. Valley’s decision was further influenced by Sanderson customers using Unity to manage similar businesses.
Jonathan Haggas, Commercial Director at Valley explained: “We were looking for a system that manages both print and manufacturing, and a long-term IT partner that will add value to our business. Sanderson does both well which, together with their experience in our market, made them the obvious choice to help take our business forward.”
Steve Shakespeare, Managing Director of manufacturing systems at Sanderson commented: “We are delighted that Valley has committed to Sanderson and Unity. The speed of Valley’s decision reflects the unique capabilities of our solution and our position as a first class supplier of manufacturing and printing business systems.”
