INFORM, specialists in the use of optimization technologies and algorithms of different aspects of the supply chain, has launched a real time transport optimization and despatch system that promises up to 30% savings on costs. Designed to manage the most complex delivery operations, companies already using the software in Europe also report significant improvements in delivery reliability, reduced transport times and greater visibility.
The system is part of INFORM's suite of logistics and transport management systems called TESYS, a system which re-processes schedules and routes according to changing transport requirements that result from new orders, traffic delays and other factors. Based on specially developed intelligent "decision support" software, the system optimizes all deliveries simultaneously, saving costs and improving service levels.
Formed in Germany, INFORM recently launched in the UK to make its advanced software directly available to the UK industry. The company supplies many of the world's leading transport and logistics companies, intermodal hub operators and airports including Bosch, British Airways, Edeka Supermarkets, Kuene & Nagel, Siemens and Swiss Postal Services.
