Landford Stone Limited, a provider and manufacturer of stone worktops for Kitchen and Bathroom retailers in the South of England, has placed a £20,000 order for fully integrated business and accounting software from Exchequer Software.
Exchequer Enterprise appealed to Landford Stone because of the seamless integration between the job quotations and job costing modules, which enables the company to keep a tight control on job profit margins and overall business performance. In addition, Exchequer Enterprise has unique drill-down functionality within Microsoft Excel which enables Landford Stone to produce management reports quickly and easily, all within a user-friendly, familiar software environment.
Duncan Lofts, Managing Director of Landford Stone explains: "Exchequer Enterprise supports the seamless integration of information between the job quotations and job costing modules, which provides a very effective method for monitoring and controlling business costs. This also eliminates manual admin processes such as re-keying of data between systems, which was previously impacting on business productivity because staff time was not being utilised."
Sales Director James Dixon, comments:" The OLE links make exception reporting via Excel incredibly easy. At the press of a button I can analyse all the quotes and orders we have on our books and we can use filters within Excel to look at information relating to jobs and customers instantly. On our Excel toolbar we get an Enterprise menu which enables us to download lists of all our customers, stock or jobs straight into a spreadsheet for further analysis. The ability to do this so effortlessly is invaluable."
Lofts concludes: "Since going live with Exchequer Enterprise we have made more progress in two weeks than we did in two years with our last system. Ultimately Exchequer Enterprise will deliver greater efficiencies throughout the business and provides us with a system which is cost-effective, easy to use and very flexible. In fact we believe the software will more than pay for itself within 12 months."
