INFORM's add*ONE inventory optimisation system has been launched in the UK. The software is aimed at manufacturers and trading companies looking to reduce stock levels, cut costs and improve service levels. The system has been developed in conjunction with leading manufacturers in Europe where users now include BASF, Copeland, Leica, Linde, Warner Music and over a hundred other companies.
add*ONE provides intelligent optimisation for inventory forecasting, planning and ordering, delivery logistics, simulation and inventory controlling. Through improved decision making, the system typically reduces stock by between 10% and 40% and planning costs between 25% and 50%. With more sophisticated functions than conventional ERP or material management systems, whilst at the same time integrating easily as part of a total business solution, add*ONE can be applied to any type of business.
Although originating in Germany and only now made widely available in the UK, add*ONE has been implemented by Worcester, the central heating equipment specialists who are part of Bosch. Worcester has already reduced stock planning costs by a third. More importantly, it has achieved 99.98% ex-stock and reduced stock levels on parts such as domestic heating boiler spares, resulting in significant service improvements to installers, who include British Gas.
