Acro Aircraft Seating goes live with Access SupplyChain

Solution key in helping support 300% business growth

The specialist aerospace engineering company, Acro Aircraft Seating, has implemented Access SupplyChain to help support the business, where revenues soared 300% from £5m to £15m in the space of 12 months. Designing and assembling economy aircraft seating to order for Airlines worldwide, Acro Aircraft Seating is expecting to surpass £20m next year.

Chris Poland, Operations Director for Acro Aircraft Seating commented: “Our reputation is growing rapidly within the aerospace industry and we’re landing larger clients as a result. When you’re growing as fast as we are, you have to have the right solutions to underpin the business.

“Access SupplyChain has had an immediate impact,” continued Chris. “We’ve just completed 16 aircraft and delivered on time. No shortage of materials; MRP calculates exactly what we need to buy and when. Our competitive edge is built on the lead time we can offer customers and Access SupplyChain is playing a major part in supporting this.

“Before Access Supply Chain it was difficult to plan inventory because the MRP system didn’t function correctly as it has been poorly implemented. Limited functionality also meant we would have to incur more costs to upgrade the legacy solution. It was a case that we might as well start from scratch since it was impacting our operational efficiency,” said Chris.

“I’ve had dealings with Access in the past so we compared the two systems. We felt Access SupplyChain was a better system, priced competitively and would allow us to scale as we continued to grow the business without having to have everything up front. It’s a good mid-tier system that suits our needs,” Chris concluded.
