The world’s first programmable computer was created in 1936 by a German called Konrad Zuse, in the same year Alan Turing began work on a machine that printed symbols on paper tape. In 1943 a British code breaker called Tommy Flowers developed a machine called the Colossus, the colossus was used to read encrypted German Messages.

Computers didn’t really hit the mainstream until 1985 when Microsoft created Windows software, Windows made the machines easier to use, today businesses all around the world utilise software of some kind for all sorts of purposes such as; accounting, design of products, project planning and much more.
