Milner Browne client wins supply chain accolade

Award WinnerOne of Milner Browne’s leading manufacturing firms has been recognised for their supply chain excellence at The Manufacturer MX Awards 2015.

Redditch-based B Hepworth were Highly Commended in the Supply Chain Excellence category during a gala dinner and reception at the ICC in Birmingham.

Back in 2010, B Hepworth removed a bespoke solution in favour of a company-wide SAP Business One solution from Milner Browne. The introduction of the solution and the training provided by Milner Browne provided the company with clear and accurate analysis of its inventory, to successfully manage and forecast demand and make significant savings on third-party reporting – plus improvements in its supply chain management.

SAP Business One is a proven ERP solution that helps manufacturing firms manage their supply chain network. Integrated warehouse and inventory management tools provide reliable information about inbound and outbound shipments, plus real-time insight into stock levels. These tools ultimately lead to fewer shortages and stock outs, improved business insight and planning and reduced inventory costs.

Morgan Browne, Chief Executive at Milner Browne, said he was delighted the solution deployed at B Hepworth had been recognised by leading industry experts.

“It’s fantastic to have played a part in helping B Hepworth achieve a supply chain that has been recognised for its best practice. To have been initially shortlisted as a finalist and then to be Highly Commended in a manufacturing industry that is eleventh largest in the world highlights B Hepworth’s achievement.”

Mark Wise, Managing Director at B Hepworth, said the accolade reflected the hard work of the team at the performance wiper system specialists.

“We are delighted and very proud to receive an award at this year’s MX Awards ceremony, especially in such prestigious company,” he said.

“It is a great boost to the team to get recognition for the business improvements we have made and the successful projects undertaken in true collaboration with our supply chain partners and our customers. We are looking forward to building on this success and generating new initiatives that we can showcase as exemplars of great British manufacturing in the future.”

As part of winning the accolade, B Hepworth had to go through three rounds of judging. After submitting their initial application, judges then visited B Hepworth’s factory in Worcestershire before a final round of judging in front of industry experts.
